Consultation services are available for individual clients who aren’t in the mediation process. I’ll listen to your situation and your concerns and help you learn more about the relevant issues so that you feel better informed moving forward. Some clients meet with me once, while many use services as ongoing support throughout their situation. You can always choose what is best for you.
What Can We Discuss?
Consultation services can cover a wide range of topics, including:
- Child Support and Spousal Support: Understanding how support is typically calculated, what income is considered, and how different parenting arrangements may affect support.
- Property Division and Financial Disclosure: Understanding Ontario’s property equalization process, what assets and debts are considered, and what financial information may be required.
- Parenting Arrangements: Exploring common parenting schedules, decision-making responsibilities, and considerations when developing a parenting plan.
- High-Conflict Communication: Learning practical strategies for communicating, managing disagreements, and reducing conflict during separation.
- Preparing for Separation: Understanding what to expect, organizing your financial information, identifying unresolved issues, and preparing questions for your lawyer or another mediator.
- Understanding The Process: Learning about mediation, negotiation, separation agreements, and other ways to resolve family law matters.
Consultations are private, one-on-one video calls. Consultation services are $295+HST per hour, and $1,080+HST for a 4 hour package.
